Race at Sunset Pastel Painting Raven and Horse Original Art

Raven wants some of the horse's black mane to line it's nest with as his prize. Raven soars above the stunning horse, letting the horse stay just a pace in front of him. He hopes to catch some of the mane anyway, even if he should lose to the powerful creature running below him. Please note, a thin whitish line runs down through the picture on this scan ONLY. 21 décembre Monarch Butterfly Chrysalis Watercolor Painting - Christmas 2007 Gift My Mother-in-Law really enjoys butterflies as much as I do and we love to share stories about out butterfly adventures. Butterfly growing is a hobby that my family and I enjoy. It's always exciting to watch this amazing cycle with my children! We wanted to share this moment with my MIL, so I've painted this 5"x7" (inches) with watercolors and metalic gold tempera paint as accents on the chrysalis.
This painting was based on a monarch butterfly chrysalis that my son found hidden in some crumbling rock. He noticed it on our regular walk, and we kept an eye on it for a week or so before it broke out. I was able to get some nice pictures of it for reference. My MIL likes to collect my artwork, so this will make a lovely gift for her this Christmas! I think she'll enjoy it. :)

Some years, it's a stuffed bear, and some years, I give him art.  14 décembre Look what one of my customers sent me! Here's what they did with my work.I found a wonderful surprise in my email the other day! One of my customers has been buying birds from me and just completed this collection! Each picture in the frame is an original small painting by me, Kathryn M. Pinkham. She's planning an entire bird wall in her home and has several more of my works to frame. I thought this display was a wonderful way to show off those small works! 6 décembre Winter Sunrise Photo from my deckWe had a pretty big storm at the beginning of the week and got dumped on with about 17 or 18 inches worth of snow. Oh, My! That's a lot of snow for the beginning of December! LOL But it's pure and pretty, so I'm going to enjoy it!!!
Here's the view from my deck, yesterday morning. You can see some of the snow clinging to the trees. Beautiful!
